Our Ministries

Children’s Ministry

Led by Megan Herron and Casey Walters

Our Children's Ministry provides a fun, safe, and engaging environment where kids can learn about God, grow in their knowledge of the Gospel, and build meaningful friendships.

  • Sunday Morning (9:15 AM): Kids are invited to an exciting time of Bible lessons, and activities designed to teach them about God’s truth and grace in a way that is age-appropriate and easy to understand. We are currently using Truth 78 curriculum.

  • Wednesday Night (6:00 PM): Midweek gatherings offer an interactive experience filled with Bible stories, games, crafts, and group discussions to help children connect biblical truths to their everyday lives.

Both sessions are open to all children and led by Oak Share Members who are passionate about sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ and creating a nurturing environment for repentance and faith. We can’t wait to see your child there!

Ladies Bible Study Fellowship

Led by Dianne King

Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) is a welcoming, non-denominational ministry open to all women in the community who are eager to grow in their knowledge of God’s Word. BSF partners with local churches to provide in-depth, Scripture-based studies designed to strengthen biblical understanding and prepare participants to serve effectively within their own church and community.

This vibrant fellowship offers a supportive and engaging environment where women can deepen their faith, share insights, and develop meaningful connections with others. Whether you are new to the Bible or have studied for years, BSF provides an opportunity to explore God’s truth and apply it to your daily life.

Join us and be part of a transformative journey of spiritual growth and service! Tuesday evening at 7pm the ladies of Oak Shade meet to study God’s word together.

Youth Ministry

Led by Seth Walters

Our Mid-Week Youth Ministry is a vibrant and welcoming space for students to grow in their faith and build friendships. We meet on Wednesdays at 5:00 PM in the Youth Recreation Room, located next to the Fellowship Hall, where students can enjoy a time of socializing during the fellowship meal. At 6:00 PM, we move to the Youth Discipleship Room in the Choir Loft for an engaging lesson focused on exploring God’s Word and applying it to everyday life. This weekly gathering is a great opportunity for students to study the word of God together, deepen their relationship with Christ, and be part of a community of students on fire for Jesus.

Senior Adult Ministry

Led by Twynia Atkins

The Senior Adults at OSBC are an active and welcoming group that meets every other Tuesday for a potluck luncheon, open to all who would like to join. These gatherings often include engaging guest speakers, typically once a month, as well as fun activities like games and fellowship. Each meeting also features a raffle for various items, with tickets available for purchase. Proceeds from the raffle help support the cost of shipping Operation Christmas Child boxes, making it a meaningful way to give back while enjoying time together.

Church Choir

Led by Debbie Elliott

The Church Choir is a joyful and dedicated group that comes together to glorify God through music. They rehearse on Sunday evenings, preparing for special performances that celebrate the seasons of Easter and Christmas. Each year, the choir performs beautiful and inspiring cantatas during these occasions, sharing the message of Christ’s love and redemption with the congregation and community. Whether you have a passion for singing or simply want to worship through music, the Church Choir is a wonderful opportunity to use your gifts for God's glory and be part of something meaningful.

Operation Christmas Child

Led by Gina Williams

Operation Christmas Child is a global outreach project of Samaritan’s Purse that shares the love of Jesus with children around the world. Through this ministry, individuals and families pack shoeboxes with gifts, school supplies, hygiene items, and a message of God’s love. These boxes are then sent to children in need in over 100 countries.

At OSBC, we are passionate about supporting this ministry by collecting items, packing shoeboxes, and helping to cover shipping costs. Each shoebox is an opportunity to share the Gospel and bring hope to children in some of the most challenging places in the world. Join us in this meaningful effort to make a difference in the lives of children and their families!
